It was quite a balanced out year i suppose. First half of the year was spent rotting at home(so-called waiting for STPM and uni results). So it was rather unproductive in a way :P
-The Good-
Been hooked up with the Panasonic Lumix part-time job by a fren. Its a good time filler as well as a source of income
A rocking 'surprise' birthday party (haha, i'm sure Pearly will know what this means). Anyway thanks again for Pearly and Sin Yee organising it :)
Good Charlotte's backstage pass and guitar pic (Damn, its pure luck for this)
Good result for STPM
Gettin the course i wanted
My 1.3 Iswara :) All thanks to my parents and the fantastic 27k promotion. lol
My Sony Ericsson W810i
Became less aggressive and losing my temper
A tighter bond with frens
-The Bad-
The end of my BRATs journey. Realised its bout time to retire from it
Loads of uni and scholarship rejections
Most unmotivated year ever. Never been this down before
Miserable life in uni
Lost out in a lot of great opportunities
Lost in touch with a lot of my frens
-The Ugly-
Room is messier than before
Barely have a good haircut from Snips ever since my frequent hairstylist quit his job
Mat rempit activities are increasing in my neighbourhood
Hmm,actually I don't have anything to be categorised here. For the sake of formality, I'll do it anyway.I guess this is really literally ugly
- -
In a nutshell, thats how my year went. Aint much to comment on actually. But somehow this year is filled with regrets and bold decisions. Was practically lost in various aspects

Penang 2007
Somehow me and Sin Yee has this thing bout going for 'compulsory' trips with our form 6 friends each year (don't deny that! you will be coming along for the Perhentian 2008 trip). We tried gettin more of our old chaps from school. But somehow its always bout working, exams or being at some other continents :P
Well, probably I'm the one with nothing else better to do. But heck, Langkawi 2006 was a blast.
The casts for this trip will be me, Sin Yee, Pui San, E-von, Chun Hor, Gabriel and Meng Wai.
And joined by E-von's penangite friends :)
I am impressed by the fuel consumption of my 1.3 Iswara/Saga (i'm still a lil' confused till now). The tank was bone dry till i need to urgently refill another 50 bucks nearby my house. And before you know it, the second refill was at Penang nearing Tanjung Bunga. That wasn't even an urgent refill!
Enough bout the 'Belilah Buatan Malaysia' advertisement.
Took us bout 4 and a half hour to reach Butterworth, including some light breakfast at Tapah.
Since we have all the time in the world, why not we hike the ferry?
And before that, i apologise for those blurry pics that u see. It came from my SE W810i 2megapixel cam phone. Unfortunately, the Sony cam was screwed up. The best quality was probably the one with loads of lightings around. Just a lil dim and noise patterns will be formed.
Where were we again? Oh yeah, the ferry ride.
We were doing some hotel hunting soon before we met up with the second car and go for lunch at Penang St. (Jalan Penang, just in case you thought i'm referring to any tar roads being located in Penang).
There was the famed asam laksa and cendol(not to forget the wannabe cendol stall right opposite the original one). Hmm, is it me or is it the hype ppl get from the asam laksa? Coz it seemed pretty normal for me. Diluted soup, very little 'content' but its rich with taste.
Probably that was the first destination for us, next one was the Snake Temple.
Took us a whooping 2 mins to complete the whole tour around it!
The front altar was under construction, the backyard garden was erm... 'delightfully small' and grand total of number of snakes:
...
...
...
TWO
..
..
....hmm....
Moving on,
The Cheng Ho Footstep Temple, or at least thats how you describe the place with a single name.
Wasn't he sent to Malacca instead? Poor Chinese dude must have lost his way around and stepped into a puddle of mud.
I wondered myself as well, what is the big deal bout his footstep?
Its just some ordinary footpri....WHOA!!!
Its a friggin' size 27 1/2 Nike footwear print there!
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we have proudly found your mysterious yeti, abominable snowman or bigfoot in Malaysia...if thats the actual size of his feet.
Our first dinner was at the McAlister road. Great variety and taste of food if you ask me. Its half of a road filled with hawker stalls on both sides. Knowing the fact that Penang food comes in small portion, we just ordered a plate of everything. I cant really remember what food i ate, but heck it was whole lotta stuffs in my stomach that night.
As for the next morning, to the Botanical Gardens. Damn, now we're really like tourists. Like the actual tourist who didn't know there's something else in between Thailand and Singapore.
Its famed for its numerous monkeys around. But i barely see any tho.
Next stop, a-bundle-of-temples.
I wouldnt really know how to describe it, so pics will do the trick.
This is a funny incident. I think it was Jastin who asked Chun Hor to pose for a pic in front of the stall. He has no idea we weren't really focusing on him OR the stall. Haha.
We're just trying to capture this few hot chicks(not in a kidnapping way). But damn, how could someone dressed up like her could enter a temple? Any daring gal wouldnt even attempt that in Mid Valley.
The Kek Lok Si Temple:
We really spent alot of time on this one. Loads of statues, altars and designs.
Yeah we went up the pagoda.I suppose that's the one. 4 bucks per entry. They even have the revolving thingy (like the one you see in themeparks) right at the entrance. Lol. Tourist attraction was at its best definition.
We then headed up to the Guan Yin statue.
Warning: Do not brake your 1.3cc car at any point on the slope unless you have reached to the flat surface of the parking area. Balancing your gear in the middle of the slope is near impossible. Well, you can do the balancing. Of course your car will be the most at stationary point.
Or the other alternative will be paying like a few bucks to hike the cable car up.
Pity the statue is still not done yet. Coz it would turn out really magnificent.
I think no one really notice this statue. Haha
Went down to the nearby area for yet another famous asam laksa. Now that's way better than Penang Road's.
Penang Hill/Bukit Bendera:
We arrived early just to get the tix of the cable car. You should look at the crowd. at least a few busses full of kids and elderly folks. Doesn't really matter, as long we have our tix and timing secured :)
Upon the hill, we hiked on this 4WD to get to the canopy walk area. Of course the other alternative will be renting a bike. But it would take us an hour or so and we don't really have tht much time for it.
Pretty cool eh? I was more amused at how they actually built it. Since its rather high up on the trees.
So the last stop was the TOY MUSEUM!
I've been picturing like a huge Toys R' Us. But its rather close to it. Its full of complete figurines collection of everything!
The toys...
The toilet...
and the idiot who ran out of poses
Practically thats all bout our main spots and journeys. Sorry, i couldnt upload every single pics here and describe it.
These are my best shots, rather suprised as its only a tiny cam phone. Way to go Sony Ericsson!
1. The jetty nearby the Cheng Ho footsteps. The quality is terrible due to the poor lightings. But i like the composition of it (the planks sure look unstable to be standing on it)
2. Kek Lok Si
3. Same thing
4. The ceiling of one of the temples in Kek Lok Si. I think its the entrance to the pagoda.
5. The statue head of Guan Yin.
6. Bukit Bendera (literally as well)
And many thanks to Sin Yee, Evon and Gabriel who contributed to the pics collection

Promise
This is my first ever cover song being recorded. Its not THAT perfect, since i dont own a studio. Now i understand why artist took like months or even a year to record an album. Its practically hard to get it 100% perfect.
I loved this song, till i need to play it over and over again on certain parts.

My First Emo Post
...after 2 years
Remember the short stories and poems we used to read back in form 1 or 2?
"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost
I understand the message in it. But what if we didnt intend or wanted to take the uncommon road in the first place?
Yes, I always somehow so 'conveniently' landed at those rough terrible roads.
Let me give u an obvious incident. Its the first month uni, barely any good news. Till i received an email from World Resorts Bhd (also known as Genting) regarding bout a scholarship interview. That sort of thing doesnt come by everyday u know. Finally a glimpse of hope for gettin a scholarship.
But the catch, its an entire day interview process. Includes both individual and group interview which starts by 8 and register by 7.30am at Genting on Sunday!!!
Gawd, how is it possible to reach there on time?
Furthermore its on a Sunday. And during the deciding week of goin for it or not, there came an announcement from our faculty, saying there's a compulsory talk for all the first year students on Sunday itself.
Perfect, just perfect! Now its even a tougher decision. As many seniors said the talk is really important.
I went on with the talk and ditch the interview. Reason: I have instinct and feelings not wanting to go for the interview, my mum advised its too much of a hassle to get there that early, furthermore i'm already thru with my Shell scholarship interview, so its more like a gamble on it i suppose.
So yeah, went on with the talk. It was alrite i suppose. The usual stuffs. Till the dean started talking bout this Kelab Pelajar Tahun Satu (KPTS), encouraging ppl to join for it. Something like a first year student council for my faculty.
I dunno whats gotten into me, as soon as they announced bout it, my blood was rushing, heart pumping, overflowed with strong instincts and feelings again but way crazier. It was the wanting of being involve in this KPTS. So yeah, went up the stage, mind all blank, introduced myself, let them vote among me and few others. I dont get it why i did that
It was the voting for the Prez, probability of me gettin it is less than a pinch of sand. Its a public uni and its Malaysia. Go figure.
So this Malay gal got it, and the dean gave us the rest of us 'candidates' the remaining top posts. I was the vice prez. Nothin to be proud of
To tell the truth, i was ashame to type or even relate this matter to anyone. I really dunno what the hell i'm doin on that moment. As after the talk, all my kolej's seniors were practically dumbfounded and saying how foolish i am to make such move. Couldnt explain myself.
Tryin to be positive, I told myself, "Its ok, since i'm in it, no point regretting it now. I could learn somethin from being in it"
It wasnt as colourful as it shud turn out to be. Meetings were draggy, disorganised, activities on schedule were...let just say its non-practical.
And guess what? Everything already down the road and even goin further down. I didnt get the Shell scholarship. Instead, i sacrifice the Genting's for this foolish club involvement.
No one to blame but myself. I'm the one making this suiciding moves.
Today we had our last meeting for this semester. She(prez) told me, she and 2 other gals from the committee were chosen to go to Korea next sem. So she's expecting me to take over all of her jobs of managing the KPTS.
WTF, how could she dump everything and leave. There's still like 3 more ongoin activities next sem. Great. Just great. Its fun isnt it? Taking credit and have everything, enjoying urself there subsidize by the uni. Lesson learned, rub shoulders with ur boss.
And i still have the friggin King duty for the chinese fekon next sem
Arghhh!!!!!
Goddamnmotherfucker!
Each and everyday, i told myself, "Everything happens for a reason", "Make the best out of the worst"
I cant hold on much longer. 2 wrong turns doesnt make 1 right. The road not taken, probably its the road shouldnt be taken at all.
My sis was right all the way long. Shud never get involve in uni at all. Just go to class and go back. But i insisted to experience it more by staying there, join in a few stuffs.
And Eureeka, i lost everything.
Its a string of calamity from this whole education idea. NUS rejected me, UM rejected me, JPA, Shell, gazillion commercial banks,UEM rejected me. While i enviously(yes, i was darn envious) looking at others achieving it. We had the same qualifications, same background. Where do i belong if i dont worth any of the ground there? I dont get it.
I guess its wrong to ask for financial help and hope to get better education huh?
What do i get out of this KPTS? Nothin, the cert are no use anywhere in the universe. Business students enter the KPTS to get recognition from the faculty so they will be accepted into the accounting program as major next year. What the fuck an Econs student like me doin there? Nothin. Its pure foolish-ness. It will worth every centimeter of banging my head onto the wall.
As part of my daily overly used fav phrase
'I don't get it'
Each nite, i went to bed with a heavy head. Having all these thoughts flying around. Silently hoping and praying that i will have some sort of direction of guidance from this mess.
Of course i never had any of that lah, lol. All i get was waking up late afternoon coz i couldnt put myself to sleep each nite.
There's a few other matters but i really cant say it out here.
I think i only told Rachel bout it...bout the emptiness i felt ever since i started uni.
I never felt so unmotivated in my life before. My finals is a good way to see the actual impact. 2 days before my first paper. Not even the slightest spark or ignition to make myself study. No worries no nothin. There's no guilt during the time i'm playin or wasting time. No effort or reason to push myself
But thats how i've been feeling for the past few months. Everyday i do the routine for the sake of doin it. There's nothin i can find to look forward to.
...how in the world did i turn out like this? Numb and zombie-fied feelings.
As though my life has gone all bland and tasteless.
Gawd, this sucks.
"Everything happens for a reason"
"Have faith"
And i'm really losing grip on it soon.
...
..
.
I don't get it, i really don't

I don't get it, i really don't

Pimp My Ride
Officially i'm pimpin up my car!!!
Added some sort of equipment to the engine, actually i still have no idea how does it work.
So yeah, a fren of my dad suggested to install this 'thingy'. So-called to increase pick-up,reduce petrol consumption and making the driving smoother. And yes, it cost 180 bucks. Its called a vacuum i suppose. Not like it makes any difference.
He's been quite persistent and persuasive tho. Being a salesman cum mechanic that he is. I was home alone and taking my usual long naps. He blardy woke me up by pressing the doorbell like gazillion times! I dun think i'm in the conscious mind during his first 'visit'. Then i was completely awake and aware of his second visit. I looked from the window, saw a man i dont recognise.
Guess what? I went back to sleep. lol. No point answering to a stranger when probably he's looking for my dad and he's not at home.
Of course its annoying, but i think after a few visits, he gets the point that there's really 'no one' at home. But anyhow, moments later my dad came back and asked me to come down and have a look how is the process of him installing it.
Yup, i guess my dad already decided to install that 'thingy' on my iswara/saga(i'm still confused which 1 is it, since on the official paper its written as Iswara but at the back its named as Saga).
Here's the modification he made
He relocated and added the tubes from the carburetor(i think, lol. i'm not the person knowing alot bout cars). He pointed to me that there's actually a tiny hole which are not in use at all. So the hole is utilized by adding the tube and linked it to the vacuum (the one in the left red circle, of course not the whole thing, its just a small part). Therefor it increase the performance of the airflow. It goes the same on the right, rewired few of the tubes. Connecting it here and there which i have no idea at all.
Damn, that sounded very risky for not knowing much bout it.
"It will increase the speed greatly. So dun go speeding out there. After installing this, this 1.3cc will feel like 1.6cc"
Yeah rite. Its only one small adjustment. As he goes on blabbering bout another customer of his installed 2 of it, and its able to outrun a Honda Civic
And now for the real test drive of it. The ignition of the engine was quite alrite i suppose. The RPM meter retains at 1000 even after i turned on my air cond.
As for the speed. It wasnt such a big difference, but yeah, it did have a slight boost. Probably bout 5-10%. Not sure bout the petrol consumption tho, will find out soon enough during my next petrol refill.
Since we're talkin bout cars, here's one of the song which stucked in my head now. I got it from the Blaupunkt advertisement. The one with the bass stereo and pink and bear hopping at the back. Lol. Its definitely a censored version here in Malaysia as they were actually humping each other at the back instead of hopping.
Here's the vid clip. Aint the nicest video around, i just like the song :)

T.A.G.
Lee San tagged me! Out of the blues, suddenly she put me as the 9th person from the tag. How can??!!
Eh,this tag is damn hard lah. Do I have any other choice?
Here it goes
8 Points About My Perfect Partner:
1. Being Polite
I do prefer my partner to be on their polite side rather than being all rowdy or awfully loud in public. Cause some ppl do tend to do that in order to gain attention from many? Or somewhat like having the idea of fun?
2. Have respect for my privacy
No, i'm not talking bout charging into my room while i'm changing clothes. Of course I wouldnt really complain bout that lah (lol, just kiddin). Yeah, i got into a fight with a fellow classmate back in Form 5 coz he took my phone and read all my msgs. So i guess in general, i wouldnt like anyone being near to my sms, emails, msgs or any sort at all. As for my partner, i prefer her not to check my 'diaries' and stalking my schedules. I'm not gonna cheat k =P
3. Have respect for my frens
"hey, stay away from him/her,cause i dont like it when u go mixing with 'em" I dont think that's the idea of sacrificing for my other half. Self-explanatory =)
4. Non-smoker
A real turn-off i suppose. Probably to other guys as well. Maybe coz i dun smoke at all, hehe. Let see, if i'm a smoker, probably its better for my partner to be the same too since she wouldnt complain bout me smoking =)
5. Outgoin And Fun!
Being reserved aint fun, being too serious aint fun. Probably i'm just too lame and nonsensical. Thats why. haha. Anyone with a DECENT amount of excitement and humour will do. Since i might get killed by someone who is way more lame (who knows?) =P
6. (Sort of) Patient and not easily agitated
Cant expect anyone to be completely patient, no one is perfect =) Yeah, an easily tempered partner might stir up alot of stuffs (in a bad way lah). Come to think of it, yeah...i cant manage my anger that well too. hehe
7. Understanding
Self-explanatory again =) That shud include knowing that i dun have any hidden meaning behind the phrase 'i'm busy rite now'. I know, laugh all you want. Since Miu Kee is barely busy. Even during exams he watches Youtube till 4am. lol. But yeah, i do get busy and sometimes tied up with some events.
8. Must be a gal/chic/lady!!!
Just to be clear i'm not havin a dude as my partner. Lol. I'm neither Chuck nor Larry. No exception for gals with XY chromosomes!
Thats it!
Do i really have to tag someone? Oh well, just a few will do. Since i doubt anyone will actually do it.
1.Sin Yee
2.Esther
3.Jean Ee
4.Sheena
5.Pearly
Enough lah...my blog traffic already so low, no use throwing out so many names =)
Hold on, by doin this tag, will it even lower my chance of getting a gal? Probably might scare them off with my 'picky' points. Darn it.
Oh well, any applicants/takers for it? Come get ur registration form.

Of Popcorns And A New Facelift !
Woohoo. There ya go. After a long dull look at the prison break origami swan/duck/chicken, finally a huge change to the entire layout.
Actually I dun even know what I'm gonna talk bout in this post, just feel like posting something. Alright, lets talk bout the most frequently used highway in my entire life (used by me, of course).
Knowing the fact that my sch is in PJ and I live in Cheras. So there the ultimate(and also the only way between this 2 cities) connector will be the...
..crap. You know what? I just realised I don't even know the name of it!
All these while i kept on telling ppl its the federal highway. But noooooo, federal only links the one with Mid Valley,KL, PJ and towards Subang and Shah Alam.
I dunno, North-South highway? Nah, thats the huge one leading to a couple of states. Salak Expressway...nope, thats the one on the other side. Darn it.
Lets forget bout the naming thing for the time being alrite? (cant believe we've been paying 50cents per trip for 9 years and still dont know the name of it)
ANYWAY, yeah...advices while ur using this highway.
1.) Avoid the office/rush hour. Probably the morning from 7 till 9 or 10 and 5.30 till 7. Figure out the flow of the traffic urself (Coz its only congested on one direction)
Let say it took me bout 15 mins to reach my sch.
If it rains, 25 mins
If its during rush hour, 45 mins.
If its during rush hour AND its raining, 1 hour 15 mins
If its during rush hour AND its raining AND there's a car broke down at the side, 1 hour 40 mins
2.) Modified proton wajars
These are not the Lala-chai cars. They are the cops. It looks like its their fav highway. So if u think u look like a lala and have a car which looked quite badly(and illegally) pimped, be prepare to stop by them. Its easier to just call as yong-sui.
And yeah, speed traps. Based on my observation (wait, is this legal?). Oh well. Upon heading to PJ, 3 potential places: In front of the Giant/under the fly-over (its not a speed-trap,its a road block...to get the yong-sui fellas and also the mat rempits), after the toll and shell petrol station (popular spot, usually before 12pm) you can see the camera guy squating on your right side, just beside the toll of the opposite flow. Lastly will be in between the previous spot i mentioned and midvalley. This is rare, i only seen them doin it once, the week before raya *hint hint* and thats all.
Upon heading back to my place or Kajang: 2 spots, the guy will be squating beside the pillar on the right...just right after the turn-in to KL/tmn desa (cant remember, but whichever comes first). Means they will do the roadblock before the toll. Second spot will be on top of the flyover above the intersection into Bandar Tun Razak. Once again, a roadblock for rempits and yong-sui ppl.
Thats it! I'm sure u wont have the slightest idea what i'm talkin bout unless u use the highway often enough.
Yesterday (Sat nite), on my way back from basketball game. I saw like 4 groups of police cars along the highway. One group was doing the speed trap, one was at the intersection coz there's like a bad car accident which rammed thru the railings, one car was stopping another lala car further down the road and inspecting the driver, and lastly one car was tryin so hard to chase a group of mat rempits. lol.
Not to forget, you can always drop by my area on Fri and Sat nite to see mat rempits 'strolling' along the highway. Usually in a group of 15-20 and their current fav pitstop is the bus stop in front of Giant. Sometimes its quite amusing to see them doing their fav wheelie and superman stunts. But of course its annoying when they took up the entire lane for their group of entourage.
The annoying-o-meter of this 'unnamed' highway:
1. Traffic congestion
2. Speed traps
3.Mat rempits
Trust me, you'll rather get a speeding ticket, run over one(or more) mat rempits but you will never be able to stand the ugly traffic. No shortcuts, no alternative roads. Just the 3 lanes with cars piling up.

A Random Act Of Randomness
Its 3am in the morning, I'm bored and not sleepy. Everyone's away or offline in my msn list. What should i do? Probably i'll just draw somethin, as all the blank F4 papers are lying on my com desk.
Then it sparked another doofus idea, from now on i'll just draw something for someone i randomly pick (frens lah, i couldnt be drawing somethin for Pak Lah, Oprah or Paris Hilton).
Probably the object will be somethin i can relate them with, or i can draw it out lah. Hehe
Oh yeah, never ask me why i pick that particular person. Its all random
So...the very first person for this random project/interest/time-waster/moliu-ness will be
..
..
..
Lee San!!!
She's a fren whom i knew back in Form 6 and sama-sama landed in UKM.
Here's a picture of a cross for ya. It symbolise religion (obviously), faith, trust and simplicity. I dunno why bothered defining the pic, sounded abit corny and cheesy.
Its a pity that the scanner couldnt make it clearer. Coz i cant see the fine lines and details i originally drew on it.
http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=3945625&owner=miux
Pardon me if it looks cacat or ugly. I didnt draw for a long time.
Used to waste time by drawing tribal designs in TITAS class. Hehe. Anyway, its all original artwork there

Nope, i still dont have a title for this
Why did the first koala fell off the tree?
Because he stepped on the branch
Why did the second koala fell off the tree?
Because the 3rd koala pushed him off the tree
Why did the 3rd koala fell off the tree?
Peer pressure
See, thanks to the 'popular' demand of requesting me to update my blog, i'll have to unlock my darkest mindset to reveal my thoughts again =P
I call tht peer pressure!!!
Actually i aint have much to blog bout. So lets go ahead with this method, which is... i'll blog out whatever comes to my mind k? So most probably its gonna be out of sequence, logic and even emotion. hehe. Lets go!
...
...
...
Oh yeah, i was having this terrible fever + throat infection last week. It friggin lasted bout 5 days. If i recall back, this shud be the trigger of my sickness. Started off with a mild sore throat on monday. Then Tuesday was like the most hardcore timetable of my entire 1st sem.
8-10am: Maths
2-4pm: Macroeconomics
5-7pm: Tamadun Islam dan Tamadun Asia
8-10pm: Replacement class for maths, since she canceled class few weeks ago
Almost died at the end of my maths class. Went back to my room, settle down and took my shower. 2 mins after i lay down on my bed, came this sms from my senior asking me to go for meeting in 5 mins time.
So this is the deal, my kolej(a.k.a. hostel) wanted to revive back the tradition of having a kolej nite(once again its only among chinese community). A week after the proposal, it changed to Pesta Tanglung. I dun really see the difference as they still charge us RM30, compulsory for first year and still doesnt get any support from anyone.
Anyway, they asked me to become the MC for the event. When they first asked me bout it, i was quite doubtful as they were insisting i give them an answer on the spot. Still, i insisted to be given some time to think bout it. Eventually i agreed on as i thought its just a very short event and there wont be much complication.
ANYWAY, the meeting on tuesday nite lasted till around 2-3am. Oh yeah, did i tell you that the PT(pesta tanglung) is on friday the week itself? And on the tuesday nite they are still finalising stuffs like games and programme. So we were working out on the script till that late. Yeah, my partner was another gal. So thank god the workload was lessen up. cant imagine the horror of needed to edit everything and MC it out all by myself.
Was feeling so restless even by 12am. And there the seniors still yapping and undecided bout alot of stuffs which greatly delayed our editing work of the script.
All done, and they still want us to write out another 'cleaner' copy to be shown to our 'more senior' senior. Hmm, does that phrase make sense? More senior senior. Oh well.
Without hesitation, i just rush back to room and drop dead on my bed. And by next morning, i woke up early just to write out the script again. Its wed morning and i wasnt feeling well at all by that time. And yet i still have to rush the script and attend the KPTS meeting.
Alrite? all done? then home i shall be back.
Crap. I'm feeling all chilly while takin my nap. Aint a good sign at all. When i woke up, the worst of my sickness were there.
Went to see the doc, my fever went up to 39.2. And he said the infection on my throat was really severe.
"Are u still studyin or working?"
"I'm still studyin in uni"
"Coz the antibiotics i'm giving you will be quite costly. So if ur working you might be able to claim for the bill. Its alrite, i'll charge you for a student price"
"Ok" (i dont really have a choice do i?)
So when i collected the medication and bill, they charged me for 65 bucks.
WTF???
Heck with it, i'm feeling like a zombie whose been shot dead again. That nite itself, i was feeling cold on the outside and burning hot inside my body.
But finally some well deserved rest for 2 days.
Was still havin this inner-debate within myself whether shud i do the emcee job for the PT. Since non of the seniors said a thing bout it despite the fact that i did informed that i was in a bad shape. No backup plans or whatsoever. So i just go on with it, figuring things might get ugly if i didnt turn up and they didnt have a backup mc for my place.
I planned to get back to uni bout 3-4pm. Then i received a sms from my partner, sayin that the senior insisted me to be back exactly 3pm to do somesort of rehearsal or whatever it is. Fine, i just rushed thru everything and rushed back to uni.
Another sms came, said to wait till the senior msg us and we'll go meet him.
The sms came only at 5pm.
Honestly, i think anyone would be quite pissed at that.
Wait, there's more. He took our written out scripts and threw it away. Told us to follow back 'his' plans and the new programme outline. He sorta say it out word by word, we jot it down...then asked us to type and print it out b4 the event. Its already 6pm!
Gawd.
All our work for nothin.
So the event went on. It was one of the worse ever. Imagine our pengetua(head of kolej also as our vip for the nite) arrived on time and to see everyone still rushing everywhere to get the last minute preparation done.
Then came the official part, where he's escorted by a few more seniors to his vip seat. As soon as he's approaching to his seat. The line of hanging tanglungs (as decoration and placed all the way back) fell down and all the tanglungs started burning. Wow, now thats a good opening.
Followed by our opening speech, then we presented the pengetua for his speech slot. AGAIN, as soon as he bout to speak, the PA system failed. The all microphones not responding or work as its suppose to work. He was standing there while a few guys busy fixing it for like 5 mins. It was a friggin awkward moment for 5 mins.
Well said, the rest of the event was alrite i suppose (the formal part of the event aint have much actually). Probably the speech is the only formal part of the event *yawn*
Where are all the performances?
Beats me. No idea
After all the bbq feast(nah, i didnt eat those. If i were to, i will die on the spot without a second to say a word) was the so-called informal part of the PT. That includes song dedication, song guessing, riddle guessing which was hung beneath the tanglung. Cant quite remember what we did, but it lasted from mid nite till 4am.
No doubt i went home the next morning, still i'm not entirely well yet. Fever still on and off.
Alright, its bout time i pay the doc the second visit.
He gave me a different type of antibiotics. Saying it should work (thats what he said the first time) and if not I will need a jab.
And the bill for this time?
*Drums rolling*
35 bucks!
Friggin ripped off. And yeah, it works well. Was completely cured by the 2nd day after on the new medication.
Moral of the story: ( i dont really have 1, but i felt darn cheated for tht entire week)
So most probably its gonna be out of sequence, logic and even emotion. hehe. Lets go!

Fac Nite
Dun get me wrong, i'm not swearing things like Fag nite or fack nite.
Its the faculty nite of the economics department (short form as 'fekon', the fakulti ekonomi) Had it last Sat nite at the Bangi Equatorial Resort. Left uni bout 4pm, fetched by a senior named Edmund. So its quite laid back for the juniors to just wait to be fetched.
Quite lazy to go very detailed bout it as i'm not writing an article or report bout it :P
So straight into the point and pics!!! yay
Basically each kolej will have to present 2 performances, a group performance involving everyone and candidate performance. For us, both will be dance. I cant quite describe how was it, but well...erm...its a dance
After all the performances will be the ice breaking session (i dunno why ice breaking is rite in the middle of the programme) then comes the voting and crowning of the new king and queen.
Basically thats all. Lol. lets go on with the pics,i'll just upload a bunch first...since i cant get from the rest yet
My fekon kolej mates
My candidate miss, Karen
One of my fav senior, Shu Peng. A very down to earth and frenly guy
Mei Ting, Poh Yeok's identical twin. Haha. The one who always make fun of me and physically torture me during TITAS class
Chai Chee, my coursemate
My direct senior, Beng Ann. And few other other seniors as well
Preparing for our group dance performance
And the Fac king and queen for 2007/2008 is

Erm...make it untitled #2
I wont take back what I've said in the previous post. Since thats what happened. So i'm gonna enlighten back on the bright side of public uni, just not to scare away for those of you who wanna go to public uni especially UKM.
First of all, there's 2 ways to live thru your uni life
1.) Be the type where you only go to classes and come back home. Minimize your kolej, faculty and uni activities down to zero.
2.) or take part in various ways there's available for ya at uni.
But one thing is for sure, YOU WILL NEVER REGRET HAVING/GOING THROUGH A UNI LIFE
Trust me on that. Its like living our on your own for the very first time without anyone telling you what to do (of course you still need to play by certain rules and regulations).
Come back to your room anytime you want, or in fact...just get out from the uni for the whole week.
As for the classes, for once ur free to choose ur own subjects, time slots, lecturers and in future, your majoring. The lecturers wont be scolding you for coming late to class or didnt finish up your tutorial. Of course you are responsible for your own cgpa. Once it gets lower than 3.0, the credit hours will be limited to a lower level and might be forced to take up more hours in the next sem.
A note for Aimee:
Mostly claim that UKM is the highest ranking public uni. I cant really judge it, since not like I've been studyin in other unis. But so far its been great, in terms of teaching, facilities and environment. (We have 2 pool tables in our kolej =P)
And furthermore, you should be proud if you end up here. Since i noticed the consistency of everyone's STPM results in the respective courses.
I've been thru quite alot of shit cause I've been too active in various areas. So it sorta intercepts with each other.
My sis been right when it comes to frens in uni. Your frens will be double or triple up if you somehow stay in uni.
So the bottomline, your actions will reflect the outcome.

Untitled
Now is the time to reveal my frustration and idiotic politics in UKM.
As a precaution, this might appear sensitive to some ppl. But i'm just telling what i went thru.
I'm in the faculty of economics and business (FEP) doing the economics program.
Few weeks ago, we had a chinese orientation in our own kolej. Where we met our seniors from the same program and discuss how things gonna turn out (eg. choosing courses, textbooks, faculty etc etc). So there's like 6 of us from our kolej in econs program. 2 guys 4 gals. Yeah, its very little compared to the business program.
So one of the seniors pulled me out and asked me if I wanna be a candidate to represent our kolej for the faculty nite. One and one gal...to hopefully get the title of king and queen. Probably no harm in it, so me and the other gal just agreed to it.
In the looks of it, its just seemed like any other prom.
This is what i have came to know.
Each year, a faculty nite will be organised and among all the candidates from all the kolejs, a King and Queen will be voted. They will be the ppl organising next year's fac nite as well assigning direct seniors.
The candidates are called Mr and Miss.
So each year, each kolej has their own Mr and Miss for each year. Unfortunately, i'm the first year's Mr.
In a hierarchy manner, the chinese economics students will answer to their Mr and Miss, and the Mr and Miss will answer to the King and Queen.
I wonder which bugger started that tradition.
And the 'best' part is...the entire thing is illegal and considered underground.
Oh yeah,Mr and Miss are chosen by 3rd year seniors. So basically we have no choice.
And bout the direct senior thing, everyone will get 1. The seniors will be the one passing down notes to their juniors as well as orders (like attending the fac nite =P)
Firstly...they will force everyone to go. It cost 75 bucks per person. Goin or not, the payment is compulsory.
Secondly, they forced us to come out with 2 performances. One from the Mr and Miss, another 1 will be a group performance from everyone of tht kolej.
From time to time, they will ask us to gather at our kolej's foyer...saying tht king or the queen wants to meet with us,sometimes from our own seniors. Half of the time, they are not punctual. And its really time consuming, because of the 'compulsory' meetin, we have empty our time slot there just for it. Which include club meetings, training and just some time off after a long day in class.
Mostly they just want to make a point and force everyone to go for the fac nite.
And the latest addition, we are required to gather signatures from both seniors and juniors. Rules is that, we cant ask the signatures from any other places beside outside of the lecture hall and out of our own kolej. I think total bout 150 signatures we need to gather. It spells out UNNECESSARY on the first page.
Let see, there's one day I wore just a simple t-shirt and slacks to class. And later on that day, one of my kolej senior came and told me to wear nicer and 'smarter'. Coz she received comments from other seniors of the same kolej that i wear like shit and terrible.
WTF!!??
Just because I didnt wear a colared tshirt for a day and now they are all sayin my dressing is like shit? Not like its a crumpled, dirty of sloppy tshirt.
They said as a Mister, I shud looked more impressive.
The heck with it...you can be the friggin King if u want to. Coz I have no plans on becoming another sucker to organise a fac nite.
Last Sunday, there was this FEP orientation(an official 1). Its a talk bout majoring and the faculty's club.
So this is the hierarchy of the fac's clubs.
The top will be the PMFEP(some persatuan mahasiswa thingy)
followed by 4 minor clubs below it...which is Kelab Ekonomi, Kelab Perniagaan, Kelab Akauns, and Kelab Pelajar Tahun Satu(KPTS),
So they were recruiting exco/ajk members for the KPTS. I thought it might be somethin diff which i can get some experiences in. I volunteered myself to be among the candidates. Bout 6 of us,2 other malay guys and 3 malay gals. So the timbalan dekan of the fac let the rest of the students make voting for the pengerusi.
Alrite, a malay gal got the pengerusi post. Then the timabalan met with us after the orientation event has ended. On the spot he assign rest of the posts for the 5 of us. So i got the timbalan pengerusi 1.
The next day, the news has spread wide enough among my kolej seniors. Looks like they arent too pleased by my actions of volunteering myself on that day. Then my direct senior had a talk with me on that nite. Sayin the club is not meant for 'us' as its entirely dominated.
Democracy will never happen in that club or in the faculty. So votes arent really 'votes'.
As said...there's a clear line of racial distribution.
Whatsmore when i'm a Mr where I have a possibility to be King. So its like planting an underground member into an official body, as said by the senior. (remember the movie,The Departed?).
I wouldnt wanna say much bout it, since its not really proven or anything and it might be considered a false information. But u can go figure and put the entire idea together.
Had a meeting with the rest of the 5 exco today. Its the day to select the smaller exco/department of the KPTS. Not too bad, bout 20 ppl applied for it and ready for the interview session.
Bout 2 indians, 8 chinese and 10 malays among the applicants.
So went on with the interview as usual. Some are good...some are dead nervous.
At the end of it, before I could say or suggest who is good and who is not, one of the senior of the KPTS said,
"Ok,kita akan masukkan yang 2 India di dlm exco"
Then a lil discussion of a few malay names on those few positions.
After 5 mins,
"Ok, kita akan masukkan seorg Cina dalam exco Akademik"
The treasurer asked "Cina macam tak ramai je"
The senior answered "Boleh lah, ada Kevin lagi. So ada 2 org. Cukup lah tu"
There's 8 positions there...excluding the top 6 of us.
Then the senior wrote on a piece of paper while sayin
"biasanya setiap tahun, pembahagian kami adalah lebih kurang cam ni"
She wrote,
80% Melayu
15% Cina
5% India
"Boleh lah. Saya rasa exco ni cukup baik"
I dun think i need to say anything already.
Now they are forcing us to buy a FEP jacket which cost 60 bucks. For me i have no choice, its compulsory for the exco members. And they wanting us to promote the jacket as well.
I told my frens its not stated as compulsory and dun give them a single cent. I said I will inform them what is necessary and what is not.
Honestly, I am sorta struggling here. Especially with the chinese community. 95% of the chinese here speaks mandarin. Obviously i cant, as a KL born fella, cantonese is the main dialect here.
The chinese community are forcing everyone to join in whatever nonsense they have whereby knowing the fact i cant speak mandarin and still wanna pull me in.
Fine, do expect me not to be able to comprehend a single thing being said in meeting, knowing that they sure use mandarin.
Then they will stare back at me like some special retard case fella and asked me whether do i understand.
I'll just give them back a 'what do u think' look while looking all blurred.
I appreciated the fact that they all might wanna unite us all as a family. Nothin wrong with tht. But i dun see a point where eventually they gonna group together according to their own state of origin(eg Johor,Malacca) or just their own lifestyle(eg. loud, rowdy)
But my roommate is fine...as well a few other nearby neighbour of ours, as in nearby rooms.
Yesterday, I was walking to my fac as i saw one of the guy from my kolej with another group of ppl. So i just said hi to him (as what everyone will do in uni to their own kolej mates), i think he was tryin to impress the few gals around and purposely ask me back somethin in mandarin. I was like "huh?". Then few of them started laughing.
Yeah, a real sohai if u ask me. But cant blame him for tryin too hard.
Enough of for today. As tmrw i'm forced to attend another orientation session for the chinese econs students.
