Of Popcorns And A New Facelift !

Woohoo. There ya go. After a long dull look at the prison break origami swan/duck/chicken, finally a huge change to the entire layout.

Actually I dun even know what I'm gonna talk bout in this post, just feel like posting something. Alright, lets talk bout the most frequently used highway in my entire life (used by me, of course).

Knowing the fact that my sch is in PJ and I live in Cheras. So there the ultimate(and also the only way between this 2 cities) connector will be the...

..crap. You know what? I just realised I don't even know the name of it!
All these while i kept on telling ppl its the federal highway. But noooooo, federal only links the one with Mid Valley,KL, PJ and towards Subang and Shah Alam.

I dunno, North-South highway? Nah, thats the huge one leading to a couple of states. Salak Expressway...nope, thats the one on the other side. Darn it.
Lets forget bout the naming thing for the time being alrite? (cant believe we've been paying 50cents per trip for 9 years and still dont know the name of it)

ANYWAY, yeah...advices while ur using this highway.
1.) Avoid the office/rush hour. Probably the morning from 7 till 9 or 10 and 5.30 till 7. Figure out the flow of the traffic urself (Coz its only congested on one direction)

Let say it took me bout 15 mins to reach my sch.
If it rains, 25 mins
If its during rush hour, 45 mins.
If its during rush hour AND its raining, 1 hour 15 mins
If its during rush hour AND its raining AND there's a car broke down at the side, 1 hour 40 mins

2.) Modified proton wajars
These are not the Lala-chai cars. They are the cops. It looks like its their fav highway. So if u think u look like a lala and have a car which looked quite badly(and illegally) pimped, be prepare to stop by them. Its easier to just call as yong-sui.

And yeah, speed traps. Based on my observation (wait, is this legal?). Oh well. Upon heading to PJ, 3 potential places: In front of the Giant/under the fly-over (its not a speed-trap,its a road block...to get the yong-sui fellas and also the mat rempits), after the toll and shell petrol station (popular spot, usually before 12pm) you can see the camera guy squating on your right side, just beside the toll of the opposite flow. Lastly will be in between the previous spot i mentioned and midvalley. This is rare, i only seen them doin it once, the week before raya *hint hint* and thats all.

Upon heading back to my place or Kajang: 2 spots, the guy will be squating beside the pillar on the right...just right after the turn-in to KL/tmn desa (cant remember, but whichever comes first). Means they will do the roadblock before the toll. Second spot will be on top of the flyover above the intersection into Bandar Tun Razak. Once again, a roadblock for rempits and yong-sui ppl.

Thats it! I'm sure u wont have the slightest idea what i'm talkin bout unless u use the highway often enough.

Yesterday (Sat nite), on my way back from basketball game. I saw like 4 groups of police cars along the highway. One group was doing the speed trap, one was at the intersection coz there's like a bad car accident which rammed thru the railings, one car was stopping another lala car further down the road and inspecting the driver, and lastly one car was tryin so hard to chase a group of mat rempits. lol.

Not to forget, you can always drop by my area on Fri and Sat nite to see mat rempits 'strolling' along the highway. Usually in a group of 15-20 and their current fav pitstop is the bus stop in front of Giant. Sometimes its quite amusing to see them doing their fav wheelie and superman stunts. But of course its annoying when they took up the entire lane for their group of entourage.
The annoying-o-meter of this 'unnamed' highway:
1. Traffic congestion
2. Speed traps
3.Mat rempits

Trust me, you'll rather get a speeding ticket, run over one(or more) mat rempits but you will never be able to stand the ugly traffic. No shortcuts, no alternative roads. Just the 3 lanes with cars piling up.

Whoop!
This sure is a nice layout!
Now your whole blog has a theme to it.
Comments become "reviews", huh?
hehe...

Btw, cool observations done on "Salak Expressway"(?)

I shall heed your observations if I ever do travel upon that highway next time.
;)
