Whatsup Doc?

So, we need to complete a health checkup for public uni entrance. Yes,its a must. Together with the X-ray negative. Gawd knows why they wanna look at my bone structure as well.

I have a fren working in University Hospital...Hospital Universiti...I'll just call it UH. Anyway, he's sorta like a general practitioner there, a grad from UM few years back. So he suggested for me to get there for the checkup...as i figured it out, I can probably skip the queue of waiting for an attending doctor.

It shall start with the outpatient counter (i dunno why they call it outpatient) for registration. So i went and told the makcik(could be a nurse or clerk, but aunty sounds good) that i have an appointment with Dr Chung at rehab clinic. Quite obvious she have no idea which doctor i'm referring to. After 5 mins of clarification of what prob i have, giving him Dr Chung's number, full name, and she made a few phone calls

"Oh...Dr ChAng! Bukan Dr Chung"
Oh gawd, and during that moment i realise that a couple mispronunciation could cause a permanent surname change of one person.

I just agreed with her to reduce the fuss. After some small registration fees, she asked me to sit down while she will get someone to send me to the rehab clinic.

There came this pakcik...called my name as Wong Min Kee (i'm not suprised).
Then he started calling "Ah Moi" several times. From his action, i can tell that he got a serious case of long sighted. As he extended his arm to the furthest just to read the other person's file.
He gave up and asked me to tell him the name instead

"Tia Ah Booy, bukan Ah Moi"

He's a 60 years old uncle

So we went thru a series of stairs, lifts and corridors. As we arrived to this section of the hospital, the pakcik handed me the file and asked me to take a number and wait at the further end. So far so good...till i walked down further and saw the sign and counter sayin 'KLINIK SURGERI'

"Wait...this aint right, its not even near the rehab"

A glance at the file

...
..
.
TIA AH BOOY!!!???

WTF
He gave me the wrong file! I lost sight of him when i rush back from where he dropped me off.
All this happened within 20 secs. For a long sighted pakcik, he sure can disappear damn fast.
What to do...what to do, so i just enquire at the surgical clinic's counter

"Oh...fail salah lah tu, awak sekarang kena balik ke kaunter yang awak register tadi"

WTF no.2

Frustratingly and unwillingly, i walked back where i came from. Eventually, the makcik have to walked me from the counter to find tht blur pakcik.
And now he's leading me to the rehab

Finally!

"Oh,sorry ye. Itu lah saya hairan, sepatutnya awak yang kena ke rehab"

Oh great, not only he lead me to a wrong direction and almost forced an 'extra' surgery on me...but now he assumed i'm a junkie!

I kept telling myself "Its ok that you can skip the queue, despite the fact that everyone thinks ur on a drug addiction or somesort"
Just so happened Dr Chung is on duty in the rehab department.

Its quite a fast checkup, as i was told the urine test result will take bout an hour to be processed. So i go on with my x-ray. The usual chest x-ray. But he told me it will take another 30 mins to process the negative.
Great...more waiting, and now i'm stucked watchin tv3 with some Indon love series. Well, you can choose to look at some sick and coughing ppl instead, your choice.

From the radiology/x-ray department back to the rehab took me bout 10 mins. So yeah, everything are quite done when i got back there.

"Oh...Dr ChAng sudah keluar minum. Dia akan balik sebentar lagi", said by the nurse in his room. At least the waiting corner has some magazines and that department is rather peaceful and quiet. No crying kids or ppl rushing here and there.

My UH misery finally ended...which took me bout 3 hours in total.
